We went with our church’s youth group to a pretzel making class. They were great to explain pretzel making how-to and let us make 2 pretzels (salty/sweet). The kids had a pretzel making contest and they served drinks with our pretzels. The live accordion music was AWESOME, and they were patient and so very welcoming! Will definitely be back here!

Great spot. Good german food. Rolf came by and said hello. Had radler on tap which I have never seen before. Very full. Actually the wings were surprisingly good as well.

Very nice staff, clean, eclectic, and German with an American/Alabama twist. My favorite items were the pretzel with beer cheese, warm German potato salad, the red cabbage, and the apple strudel. Will definitely be back, hopefully for breakfast

Perfect spot and lovely staff! Have been here so many times and the food just gets better and better. Personal favs are the Chicken Pesto Panini and Croque Madame! Also, a must try is the Belgium Waffle.

We enjoyed a brunch at Rolf’s on a Sunday morning. It is a small, cozy restaurant with delicious German brunch, lunch, and dinner. The waitstaff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Even Rolf came out and visited with us! We got the Lemon Waffle, Curry Sausage, and the Farmers Breakfast with cheese added to top. Farmers Breakfast included potatoes, cheese, eggs, and bratwurst sausage, all piping hot in a cast iron skillet. The bratwurst was delicious! Rolf makes all the restaurant’s sausages, breads, and cakes from scratch. The food was delicious and we will be back to try more! As of June 2024, they told us a new menu is about to come out so we look forward to checking out later.

First time here and everything we ate was wonderful. The food was amazing! From the appetizers to the desserts! Everything was homemade and fresh by Chef Rolf. He visited our table several times. His recommendation were on point. He really loves what he does and you can tell in every bite of his delicious food! We had traditional pretzels with beer cheese along with a Hofbrau original lager. We ordered the sampler and the Bratwurst for our main course and the Black Forest cake and Apfelstrudel for dessert. We were not disappointed. We can’t wait to come back!!!

Excellent food, service and atmosphere! I ordered the Sampler Platter that came with 2 sides. My sides were the Northern and the Southern potato salads. I enjoyed both and they are distinctly different. I think that I prefer the Northern type, but I'm sure that I'll need to compare them several more times. The meats consisted of a Curry Sausage, Meatloaf, Bratwurst, Gyro meat and Chicken. My favorites were the Curry Sausage and the Gyro meat. Next time, I'm going to try the Jaeger Schnitzel with different sides. If you like good food, and you're hankering for some delicious German fare, this is the place to go! I'm so happy that this fine restaurant is so close to home.

Let me just say I am very picky when it comes to my food and clean ingredients are important! I am by no means a meat eater and I have nothing against those who choose to eat it .I must say this is the first German restaurant in Tuscaloosa and it’s very Vegan / vegetarian friendly freshly home made daily !!! Some of the must tries top tiers Red Cabbage, veggie panini, Sauerkraut, mushroom sandwich !! They truly live up to their flavor and Slogan you come in a customer and live a friend !!!!
